Basketball Recap: South Greene Comes Up Short

South Greene was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 80-66 to the David Crockett Pioneers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 71-60 loss back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, South Greene still got an impressive performance from Chandler Gamble, who dropped a double-double with 31 points and 14 boards. That's the most rebounds Gamble has posted since back in December of 2024. Charlie Lane was another key player, going 7-for-17 on his way to 14 points and five boards.

South Greene's defeat dropped their record down to 19-9. As for David Crockett, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.

South Greene does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for David Crockett, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 80-44 victory against Sullivan East on the 15th.
