Soccer Game Preview: North Pole vs. Monroe Catholic

The North Pole Patriots will challenge the Monroe Catholic Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

North Pole is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: West Valley, who was ranked second at the time (North Pole was ranked 11th). The Patriots came up short against the Wolf Pack on Friday, falling 5-0. North Pole's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten goals the game before, Monroe Catholic was a bit more limited in their match on Saturday. They lost 14-0 to West Valley. Monroe Catholic have struggled against West Valley recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Monroe Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for North Pole, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
