Soccer Game Preview: Centennial vs. Heritage

The Centennial Titans will square off against the Heritage Coyotes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Centennial's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for ten straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Centennial is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Emerson on Tuesday. The Titans fell 2-0 to the Mavericks. While losing is never fun, Centennial can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 220th, while Emerson are ranked 44th).

Meanwhile, Heritage had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They never let the Trail Blazers get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. With that victory, Heritage brought their scoring average up to 2.5 goals per game.

They hit Lebanon Trail with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Hayden Gibb, Bennett Kerr, Adam Morsi, and Ethan Stewart.

Heritage's win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8-5.
