Softball Recap: Sonoma Valley Comes Up Short

Sonoma Valley came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Petaluma Trojans, falling 12-1. If the Dragons were looking for revenge after losing 4-1 to the Trojans when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sonoma Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sofia DeTorres, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Sonoma Valley dropped their record down to 3-9 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Petaluma, their record is now 10-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Sonoma Valley will challenge rival Napa at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Petaluma is set to take on their familiar foe Justin-Siena at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
