The Argenta-Oreana Bombers are taking a road trip to square off against the Warrensburg-Latham Cardinals at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Argenta-Oreana is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Argenta-Oreana came up short against Okaw Valley and fell 8-4.

Argenta-Oreana saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Logue, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Warrensburg-Latham's offense. They lost 10-0 to Lexington on Friday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Cardinals, who until this game were averaging 3.85 runs allowed.

Argenta-Oreana's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Warrensburg-Latham, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-5 record this season.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Argenta-Oreana has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Warrensburg-Latham struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Argenta-Oreana might still be hurting after the 12-0 loss they got from Warrensburg-Latham in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Bombers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
