Basketball Recap: Ash Fork Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Ash Fork had won three straight home games and Isabella Acosta did her part to make it four on Tuesday. The Ash Fork Spartans really took it to the Rough Rock Sun Devils for the full four quarters, racking up a 58-10 victory thanks in part to Acosta, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted four or more steals the last nine times she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jamie Keele, who posted seven points and 12 rebounds. What's more, she also racked up two steals, the most she's had since back in January of 2024.

Ash Fork has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to assists: they averaged an imposing 6.75 assists in those games compared to only 6.75 in the others. As for Rough Rock, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-16.
