Softball Recap: Banks Finds Playoff Glory Versus Mcloughlin

It's playoff time, and Banks had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the McLoughlin Pioneers with a sharp 11-1 victory on Wednesday. The Braves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by ten runs or more this season.

Brooklyn Evans was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Sawyer Peters, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Banks was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .344 or higher in three consecutive games.

Banks is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for McLoughlin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Banks nor McLoughlin have any future games scheduled.
