Recap: Armada Tigers vs. Marine City Mariners
The Armada Tigers were the 56-47 winner over the Marine City Mariners when they last played one another back in January of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Armada took a 52-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Marine City on Monday. Armada has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leading Marine City to victory were Liam Adams and Danny VandeVyer. Adams scored 7 points along with 13 rebounds and 7 assists, while VandeVyer scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds. VandeVyer is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Gabler, who scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds.
Armada's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Marine City, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Armada will face off against Imlay City at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. As for Marine City, they will head out on the road to face off against Clintondale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
