Desert Christian waltzed into their match on Tuesday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lancaster Baptist Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Desert Christian never let Lancaster Baptist on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-21, 25-23.

Desert Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Danna Guardado led the charge by getting ten digs and one assist. Sophia Talley was another key player, getting six digs and three aces.

Desert Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive contests.

Desert Christian's record is now 17-5-1. As for Lancaster Baptist, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.
