Football Recap: Unaka Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Unaka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 74-22 defeat at the hands of the Hampton Bulldogs. If the Rangers were looking for revenge after losing 58-18 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Unaka saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ashton Fuller picked up 127 receiving yards and two TDs. Fuller was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 62 yards.

Unaka's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Hampton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Unaka is set to face off against their familiar foe Jellico at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hampton will square off against rival Hancock County at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
