Basketball Recap: Russell Beats West Carter for Their Fourth Straight Victory

The Russell Red Devils put the hurt on the West Carter Comets with a sharp 60-37 victory thanks in part to Burgess, who went 8 for 14 on his way to 22 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Russell pushed their record up to 7-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for West Carter, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
