Piner had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 63-50 win over the Ukiah Wildcats. Given the Prospectors' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 371st, while the Wildcats are ranked 769th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Ukiah lost, don't look at Kaleo Olson. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 15 points and 13 boards. Ukiah is 4-2 when Olson posts ten or more rebounds, but 4-18 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Dareon Dorsey, who posted 11 points and seven boards.

Piner's victory bumped their record up to 19-9. As for Ukiah, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-20.

As of now, neither Piner nor Ukiah have any future games scheduled.
