Volleyball Recap: Glenelg's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

After a string of four wins, Glenelg's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against the Reservoir 'Gators, falling 3-0. The Gladiators were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the 'Gators apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

While Glenelg was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Reservoir's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-16, 25-21.

Lainey White paced Glenelg's offense, picking up seven kills. White got some help from Jessica Li and her 12 assists. Li was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Glenelg's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Reservoir, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Glenelg will head out on the road to take on River Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Reservoir, after both having extra time off, they and Guilford Park will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
