Sleepy Hollow High School: The country's scariest mascot

New York town has a mascot that fits perfectly on Halloween.

Halloween is an annual reminder that, in all likelihood, Sleepy Hollow (N.Y.) has the scariest, most appropriate mascot.

Introducing: the Headless Horseman.

Each year at the school's homecoming, Pock, a 15-year-old male leads the Sleepy Hollow football team onto the field with owner John Catalfumo playing the part of the Headless Horseman.

The scene harkens back to Washington Irving's famous short story "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" for which both the school, and more recently the town, are named.
