League recap: Kennedale, Mineral Wells tied at the top

3A Region I District 6 league recap: 3/8/13

First place in the standings of 3A Region I District 6 is up for grabs this week, as Mineral Wells sits tied atop the standings with Kennedale.

Springtown outpaced the rest of the league this week, as its three total wins led the league. The Porcupines beat Granbury 8-6, Brewer 9-5 and Eastern Hills 15-2.

Diamond Hill-Jarvis boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

The Eagles stole 25 bases this week, adding to their league-leading 36 steals on the year.

Rudy Romero drove in five runs for Diamond Hill-Jarvis over the past seven days. He has seven RBIs this season, tops in the league.
