Softball Recap: Crystal City Comes Up Short

Crystal City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 10-2 to the Lytle Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 back in March.

Lailah Alarcon made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases. Aracelie Saucedo was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Crystal City's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Lytle, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-8-1.

Crystal City wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-3 victory against Dilley on the 4th. As for Lytle, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-4 loss against Natalia on the 4th.
