Volleyball Recap: Crimson Cliffs Falls Short Against Ranked Virgin Valley

Crimson Cliffs is ranked highly in their home state and on Thursday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Virgin Valley. The Mustangs fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2.

Crimson Cliffs started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 20-25, 25-23, 25-21, 15-11.

Virgin Valley can attribute much of their success to Aiden Muniz, who had 20 digs and four assists. That's the most assists Muniz has posted since back in April of 2024.

Crimson Cliffs' loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Virgin Valley, their victory was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-4.

While Crimson Cliffs had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
