Basketball Game Preview: Oak Hill Rams vs. Bell City Bruins

The Oak Hill Rams will challenge the Bell City Bruins on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Oak Hill is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against Pitkin as Oak Hill made off with a 66-44 win. The victory was nothing new for the Rams as they're now sitting on six straight.

Oak Hill's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jodie Jowers, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten boards. The match was Jowers' sixth in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Braylee Cedus, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 15 points and six rebounds.

Oak Hill was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They are 30-7 when they've passed the ball that well.

Meanwhile, Bell City came tearing into Thursday's contest with 12 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.9 points), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 50-30 margin over the Indians.

Bell City's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.9 points over those games. As for Oak Hill, their victory bumped their record up to 30-10.

Oak Hill couldn't quite finish off Bell City when the teams last played back in November of 2016 and fell 52-49. Can Oak Hill avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
