Baseball Recap: Sulligent Blue Devils vs. Carbon Hill Bulldogs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Phil Campbell, Sulligent was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 14-7 margin over the Carbon Hill Bulldogs. That looming 14-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Blue Devils yet this season.

Ethan Stiles made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off ten hits. Stiles was even better at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.
