Basketball Recap: King City Comes Up Short

If King City was riding high fresh off their 45-16 takedown of North Nodaway last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The King City Wildkats were just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 26-25 to the Northeast Nodaway Blue Jays. The Wildkats haven't had much luck with the Blue Jays recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

King City's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-8. As for Northeast Nodaway, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8.

King City will venture away from home to challenge North Harrison at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Harrison has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Northeast Nodaway, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 35-33 victory against Albany on the 18th.
