Baseball Recap: New Diana Gets the Win

After losing to Marshall the last time they met, New Diana decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The New Diana Eagles walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Marshall Mavericks on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Mason Sherman was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Green, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

New Diana's record now sits at 6-2. As for Marshall, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. As for Marshall, they will be taking part in a tournament against Central Heights at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Central Heights' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so Marshall's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
