Basketball Recap: Brookings Comes Up Short

Brookings was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. The matchup between them and the Jefferson Cavaliers didn't end well, with the Brookings Bobcats falling 57-43. If the Bobcats were looking for revenge after losing 78-51 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Brookings' loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Jefferson, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-11.

Coincidentally, Brookings and Jefferson will both be playing Pierre T.F. Riggs the next time they take the court. Brookings will head out to face Pierre T.F. Riggs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Jefferson will host them at 7:00 p.m. on February 25th.
