Basketball Recap: Cummings Takes a Loss

Cummings came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They took a blow against the Northwood Chargers, falling 60-12. The Cavaliers have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Cummings still got an impressive performance from TiAva Vaughn, who posted six points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northwood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mikaylah Glover, who earned eight points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Neah Henry, who scored six points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Cummings' loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Northwood, their record is now 15-6.

Cummings wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 47-20 defeat against North Moore on the 11th. As for Northwood, they have also already played their next matchup, a 53-28 victory against Chatham Central on the 11th.
