Football Recap: Dr. Phillips Triumphs

Dr. Phillips proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 39) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Innovation Bulls 14-13. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Dr. Phillips pushed their record up to 9-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.0 points on average over those games. As for Innovation, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Dr. Phillips does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Innovation, they will square off against Deltona at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wolves' defense has only allowed 8.6 points per game this season, so the Bulls' offense will have their work cut out for them.
