Basketball Recap: Monona Grove Comes Up Short

If Monona Grove was feeling good fresh off their 82-42 takedown of Whitewater last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Monona Grove Silver Eagles fell to the Fort Atkinson Blackhawks 54-50. The contest marked the Silver Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Monona Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Fort Atkinson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Monona Grove will head out to square off against McFarland at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Fort Atkinson, they will be home for the holidays to greet Stevens Point at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
