Football Recap: Ogallala Comes Up Short

Ogallala fell victim to Sidney and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 33-0 loss at the hands of the Red Raiders. The game marked the first time this season in which the Indians were not able to get on the board.

Edan Cain threw for 123 yards on 12 of 24 attempts. Sawyer Smith was his top target, picking up 97 receiving yards.

Ogallala is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. As for Sidney, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ogallala will welcome McCook at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will need to watch out since the Bison have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups. As for Sidney, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chase County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Raiders will be up against the Longhorns' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
