Baseball Recap: Comer Catamounts vs. Golder Panthers
Comer kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They suffered a tough 15-1 defeat at the hands of the Golder Panthers. The loss means Comer is still on the hunt for the season's first 'W'.
For Golder's part, Xavier Montanez was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with nine stolen bases. Montanez is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's stolen at least four every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Drysch, who went 2-for-3 with a home run and a triple.
The win (which was Golder's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Comer didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 17-2 defeat vs. Noble Street College Prep on the 20th. Golder has also already played their next match, an 8-3 victory against The Noble Academy on the 20th.
