Baseball Game Preview: Pequea Valley Braves vs. Northern Lebanon Vikings

The Pequea Valley Braves will head out to square off against the Northern Lebanon Vikings at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Monday, Pequea Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Columbia and fell 3-2.

Pequea Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sammy Chappell, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Northern Lebanon came out on top against Lancaster Catholic on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Vikings took their game against the Crusaders 6-1. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Adrian Gonzalez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Gonzalez was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Owen Fahringer, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Connor Stoltz, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Pequea Valley's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Northern Lebanon, their record is now 15-2.

Pequea Valley came up short against Northern Lebanon in their previous meeting on April 14th, falling 5-0. Can the Braves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
