Foley is 3-0 against West Florida since November of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Foley Lions duke it out with the West Florida Jaguars at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Foley is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alabama's top teams: Daphne, who was ranked 25th at the time (Foley was ranked 17th). Foley was just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 43-42 to Daphne. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, West Florida's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 59-40 bruising from McGill-Toolen.

Foley will need focus on slowing down Kamora Harris, one of several West Florida players who made an impact when they last played. She posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Amani Bartholomew, who put up four points and five boards.

Even though they lost, West Florida smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 20 consecutive matches.

West Florida's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Foley, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 20-3.

Foley beat West Florida 57-48 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Bartholomew, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Foley still be able to contain Bartholomew? There's only one way to find out.
