It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but LaFayette had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Gilmer Bobcats with a sharp 3-0 victory. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Ramblers this season.

LaFayette never let Gilmer on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22, 25-13.

Makenna Clarke paced LaFayette's offense, picking up 17 kills. Clarke got some help from Jaslyn Capello and her 31 assists. Capello was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

LaFayette is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 35-10 record this season. As for Gilmer, their loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-24.
