Soccer Recap: Phoenix Academy Comes Up Short

Phoenix Academy fell victim to Leadership Academy and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Falcons, falling 4-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Leadership Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 back in September.

Phoenix Academy has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11-1 record this season. As for Leadership Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Phoenix Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Triad Math and Science Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Leadership Academy will face off against rival Cornerstone Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
