Mitchell and Stevens are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2023, but likely not for long. The Kernels will be playing in front of their home fans against the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mitchell is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home last Saturday. Everything went their way against Grand Forks Central as they made off with a 13-1 victory. The Kernels not only won last Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 25, 2025 (when they won 15-0).

They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Scoopers, sneaking past 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Raiders have posted against the Scoopers since May 15, 2022.

Stevens let Trevor Schlosser and Tucker Waddell run wild. Schlosser went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI, while Waddell went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most RBI Schlosser has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Conor Konvalin, who earned two runs and three stolen bases.
