In other batting news, Brooke Koebcke was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with six RBI, two triples, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brynn Hannon, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles.

Rensselaer Central kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 22 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, Kankakee Valley came up short against Munster on Friday and fell 6-3. The Kougars have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Rensselaer Central's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Kankakee Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
