Volleyball Recap: Eldon Comes Up Short

Eldon lost against Marshfield back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mustangs fell 2-0 to the Bluejays. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Marshfield scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-20.

Audrey Dinwiddie paced Eldon's offense, picking up eight kills. Dinwiddie got some help from Kaydin Davis and her 11 assists.

Eldon's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Marshfield, their victory bumped their record up to 16-5-1.

Coming up, Eldon will face off against Lebanon at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Yellowjackets will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Marshfield, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Fayetteville on the 27th.
