Volleyball Recap: Antietam Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Antietam had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Quakertown Panthers on Monday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-9, 25-10.

Quintin Heller paced Antietam's offense, picking up four kills. Heller got some help from Brayden Yelk and his 12 assists. Finally, Camrin Kauffman kept Antietam's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Sean Gillin was the offensive standout of the game as he had four digs and three aces. He has been hot for a while, having also posted 17 or more assists the last 12 times he's played.

Looking ahead, Antietam will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Northern Lebanon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Quakertown, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will face off against Central Bucks South at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
