Volleyball Recap: Scott City Comes Up Short

The Scott City Rams didn't have quite enough to beat the Bunker Eagles on Saturday and fell 2-1. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The 2-1 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets Scott City lost were decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 18-25, 25-23.

Addisyn Hillemann paced Scott City's offense, picking up ten kills. Hillemann got some help from Miley Schwettman and her 15 assists. Hillemann was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Scott City's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Bunker, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.

Scott City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Kennett on the 15th. As for Bunker, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Parkway South on the 13th.
