Basketball Recap: Ripon Comes Up Short

Ripon extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Friday, dropping them down to 0-2. They came up short against the Berlin Indians, falling 59-39. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

As for Berlin, the victory got them back to even at 1-1. They not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since November 26, 2024 (when they won 58-21).

Lakelyn Sobieski had an outrageously good game as she went 9-for-20 to rack up 24 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahzayla Bell, who posted 11 points and three steals.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Ripon is set to face off against their familiar foe Westfield Area on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Berlin will square off against rival Mauston at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
