The Riverdale Country Falcons will take on The Pingry School Big Blue at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Riverdale Country is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
Riverdale Country is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 28-26 win over Morristown-Beard.
Ryan Cohen produced another solid effort rushing for 160 yards and two touchdowns. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 79-yard run. Jake Liston was another key player, picking up 104 receiving yards and one score.

Riverdale Country didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Dylan Cornell, Dylan Eldridge, Liston, and Harry Alper picked up one apiece. Cornell has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last three times he's played.
Meanwhile, The Pingry School strolled past Morristown-Beard with points to spare two weeks ago, taking the game 29-13.
Riverdale Country better keep an eye on Ryan Moye. He was instrumental in The Pingry School's win, rushing for 107 yards and one TD on only six carries, while also throwing for 162 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 passes. Those 107 rushing yards gave Moye a new career-high.
One reason for the win was The Pingry School's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 5.5 sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Finn Cavanaugh and Teddy Peacock, who racked up 4.5 sacks between them.
Riverdale Country's record now sits at 6-1. As for The Pingry School, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Riverdale Country barely slipped by The Pingry School in their previous matchup back in October of 2023, winning 23-22. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Big Blue turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
