Basketball Game Preview: American Fork Cavemen vs. Mountain Vista Golden Eagles

The American Fork Cavemen and the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Thursday, American Fork was able to grind out a solid victory over Highland, taking the game 57-48.

Meanwhile, Mountain Vista had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They took down Corner Canyon 85-69.

Mountain Vista had a senior duo take command as Oliver Junker dropped a double-double with 22 points and 14 boards and Hudson Rooney went 7-for-11 on his way to 24 points and five assists. Another player making a difference was Ian Nichols, who shot 83% from the field en route to 13 points.

The win got American Fork back to even at 2-2. As for Mountain Vista, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
