Baseball Game Preview: Shepherd Bluejays vs. St. Louis Sharks

The Shepherd Bluejays will square off against the St. Louis Sharks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Louis took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Shepherd, who comes in off a win.

On Monday, Shepherd made easy work of Beal City and carried off an 8-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bluejays, who have now won three matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Sam King was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Michael Pung was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, St. Louis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Manton, falling 17-7.

Easton Seleski made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Thailan Raby, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Shepherd's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for St. Louis, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Shepherd took their victory against St. Louis in their previous meeting back in June of 2015 by a conclusive 15-6 score. Will the Bluejays repeat their success, or do the Sharks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
