Softball Recap: Schoharie Indians vs. Cobleskill-Richmondville Bulldogs
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Galway, Schoharie was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Cobleskill-Richmondville Bulldogs. For the Indians, this counts as revenge for the 9-5 win the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2025.
Kayla Hayes made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits. Hayes was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madison Reinhart, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Harper Maleszweski also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
