Volleyball Recap: Fulton Snags Eighth Win in Last Ten Games

Fulton won the last time they faced Eastland and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Steamers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Cougars.

Fulton never let Eastland on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-22.

Fulton's offense was headlined by Chloe Wilkin and Kerby Germann, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Brianne Brennan and her 14 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Despite the defeat, Eastland had strong showings from Keara Kaus, who had 14 assists and seven digs, and Morgan McCullough, who had 11 digs. Kaus has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 35 times she's played.

Fulton has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. As for Eastland, with the loss, they broke their five-match winning streak and moved their record to 16-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Fulton is set to square off against their familiar foe Polo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Eastland will face off against rival Lena-Winslow at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
