Basketball Recap: Belleview Takes a Loss

Belleview suffered their biggest defeat since January 31st on Friday. They were outmatched by the Yulee Hornets and fell 57-18. The match marked the Rattlers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Yulee to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chase Cannone, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Newby, who earned eight points.

Belleview is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6. As for Yulee, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Belleview will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Meadowbrook Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Yulee and Baker County will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on December 27th. Yulee is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.9 points per game this season.
