Baseball Recap: Chaminade Comes Up Short

Chaminade blew St. Francis out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday St. Francis got their revenge. The Chaminade Eagles fell just short of the St. Francis Golden Knights by a score of 7-5. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Chaminade saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryder Gullage, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. Another was Jackson Tyler, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Chaminade has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.67 runs. St. Francis pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Chaminade beat St. Francis by a score of 10-4 on Wednesday.
