Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Benson). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Tombstone Yellow Jackets 71-40. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 53-41 back in December of 2024.

Benson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luke Chapman, who posted 17 points. The dominant performance gave Chapman a new career-high in points. Domonik Villa was another key player, putting up eight points and eight assists.

Benson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.

Benson's win bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Tombstone, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Benson will host Baboquivari at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Benson has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Tombstone, they will welcome Willcox at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
