Basketball Recap: Saxony Lutheran Takes a Loss

Saxony Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost to the Perryville Pirates at home by a 45-26 margin. The Crusaders were not able to make up for their loss to the Pirates from their previous meeting back in January of 2023.

Saxony Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Perryville, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-9 record.

When Saxony Lutheran and Perryville next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Saxony Lutheran will face off against Sikeston and their three-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Perryville will try to stop St. Vincent's three-game winning streak when the meet at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
