Volleyball Game Preview: Fontainebleau Bulldogs vs. Mandeville Skippers + Official Tickets

The Fontainebleau Bulldogs will face off against the Mandeville Skippers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Fontainebleau is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Louisiana's top teams: Slidell, who was ranked sixth at the time (Fontainebleau was ranked 14th). The Bulldogs came up short against the Tigers on Tuesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since October 14th.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Mandeville had to endure a three-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Covington on Tuesday. The Skippers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 14th (when they won 3-0).

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-14, 25-17.

Fontainebleau better focus on containing Alyssa Gaudet and Julia Marengo as the pair were huge in Mandeville's win. Gaudet had ten digs and two assists, while Marengo had eight digs and four aces. What's more, Marengo racked up 28 assists, the most she's had over her last eight matches.

Mandeville was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They are 5-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Mandeville now has a winning record of 15-14. As for Fontainebleau, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 24-15.
