Basketball Recap: Ottawa Skates Past Chanute with Ease

Ottawa put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by the Chanute Blue Comets to the tune of 68-40. For the Cyclones, this counts as revenge for the 44-43 victory the Blue Comets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Ottawa's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Chanute, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ottawa will take on Paola in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ottawa knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Paola likes a good challenge. Chanute and Girard will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
