Basketball Recap: Westgate Christian Comes Up Short

Westgate Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Upstate HomeSchool Bearcats, falling 71-26. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-14.

Westgate Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Upstate HomeSchool, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westgate Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lake Pointe Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Upstate HomeSchool, they are taking a road trip to square off against Asheville T at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
