Softball Recap: Nashua South Takes a Loss

After flying high against Alvirne on Wednesday, Nashua South came back down to earth. The Purple Panthers came up short against the Concord Crimson Tide on Friday, falling 11-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Purple Panthers of the 18-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Nashua South has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4-1 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Concord, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Nashua South is set to challenge their familiar foe Windham at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Concord will square off against rival Bedford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
